The You Crack Me Up Extra Thick Easter Egg™ may be aimed at kids, I don’t know, but it’s certainly got a big fan in me. I simply love thick shelled Easter eggs! It’s made with 40% milk chocolate and has some nice happy smiley face pralines as well as happy chickens and bunnies and made by Hotel Chocolat. You can also get this Easter egg from John Lewis.

I’ve now managed to get my grubby little hands on one of these and they’re just delicious – nice an mild, nothing that will knock your socks off and a nice safe bet for a wife or girlfriend that love milk chocolate Easter eggs.

They come in a wonderful presentation box so it’ll definitely make it a great Easter gift for a loved one.

Not only do you get wonderfully smooth milk chocolate but you get a good handful of hand-piped Easter faces that just make the You Crack Me Up Extra Thick Easter Egg a perfect gift from Hotel Chocolat.

Easter Eggs Rating: 7/10 – Nice and smooth, but I’m more of a dark chocolate fan. Nevertheless I believe many will say it a great mellow Easter egg suitable for adults and kids alike.

Update 2011: It looks this year that this Easter egg isn’t too different to last year except for a more interesting shell which instead of being a single milk chocolate colour it has a “dash of white” which makes it look more sophisticated. It also looks like the smiley faces inside are the same. Also its £2 more expensive.
