If you’ve got a couple of kids and one likes milk chocolate and the other prefers white chocolate and you’re fed up with the usual mass-market Easter eggs that just taste dreadful then why not give these Thorntons Bunny & Lamb Pals a go? I don’t know when they’ll be available to buy online from Thorntons (they’re not at the time of writing in February) but you can get them in Tesco and Sainsbury’s stores just now and they only cost £4.00.
From the photo you might think they’re pretty large, but they’re not. They’re about 9cm tall and in total weigh 160g. What’s more, they’re not made out of the best Thorntons chocolate either. The milk chocolate is very sweet and tangy, but strangely I can’t stop munching at it, whilst the white chocolate I just couldn’t get on with – it smells like rubber and has an unpleasant texture. Flavour-wise it’s exceptionally sweet and false tasting. I really couldn’t manage more than a nibble of this.
I’m not sure how most children would take to the white chocolate, but it’s definitely not for me. The milk chocolate, on the other hand was on the nice side – as far as kid’s chocolate goes, but I couldn’t really manage more than half of the chocolate bunny.
