I’ve reviewed raw chocolate before and absolutely loved it. So when I was asked if I’d like to try some raw Easter eggs from Rawr I jumped at the chance!

What I love about raw chocolate is the fact that they’re made from the naturalist of ingredients. In these you’ll find raw cacao butter, raw agave nectar, raw cacao paste, raw mesquite, raw carob powder, raw cacao powder and raw coconut butter. But there’s something else to them as well. If they’re going to be raw, then you’d expect them to be organic too. And they are.
Raw chocolate tends to have a much more gritty texture to them and as it’d be pretty damn difficult to melt the ingredients without cooking them then I think it’s something that you’re going to put up with. And those that would purchase raw Easter eggs are pretty much accustomed to not having highly polished, processed food. But saying all that, they’re no-where near as gritty as praline and a damn site smoother than the chocolate hen’s eggs I reviewed a couple of years ago.
There’s another great thing about these raw Easter eggs which is that for £7.95 you get four substantial Easter eggs of three different flavours. You’ve got the zest egg, the minty After Dinner and two vanilla Easter eggs which are called “purity”. They’re all pretty damn good too.
I’m not sure how many these Easter eggs would appeal too. But I’d certainly want to try their range of chocolate bars!
