2012 update: Please ignore the terrible nature of this review. I think it was one of the first that I ever did back in 2008. As you can see there’s a complete lack of detail. So I’m going to try and fix that now.
You can buy the 152g Rolo milk chocolate Easter egg from Asda for just £1 or from Tesco for £2.50. If you really had to buy from Amazon you can pick one up for £4.99.
This year there’s also some good news that Nestle have removed all artificial colours, flavours and preservatives from their entire confectionery range – hopefully they’ll remove vegetable oil from it too some time soon.
Also I had hoped to give you the nutritional information on this egg, but the brands section of their website doesn’t have it for Rolo
The Nestlé Rolo Easter Egg appears to basically be a copy of their other cheap Easter eggs, such as the Nestlé Kit Kat Chunky Easter Egg. All that is different is the packaging and that you get two Rolo’s rather than Kit Kats or Smarties.
Again, the aroma is fairly strong and the taste fairly unexciting. But for £1 you can’t really expect a great deal!
The one thing I did notice was that the egg was very brittle, only a small amount of pressure made it disintegrate in my hands.
The taste was just the same as the other so the Nestlé Rolo Easter Egg will have to get the same score.
Easter Egg Rating: 4/10
