Nestlé Kit Kat Chunky Easter Egg Review

Update 2012: I’m ashamed at how bad this review is. I’ve got no plans to get this egg again this year as I’ve already got a lot to review, but I’ll get one next year.

Nestlé Kit Kat Chunky Easter Egg is a damn cheap Easter egg when bought for Asda for just £1!

The one thing I did like when I looked at the packaging was that the whole back of the box was dedicated to the recycling of the packaging. This certainly gives it a plus point when you also consider the fact that the box is already made from at least 75% of recycled board.

What do you get for your money?

Well you can’t expect to get too much for your £1-odd. You do get 235g in total, one Easter eggs and two 50g Kit Kat Crunch chocolate bars.

The Kit Kat basic Easter egg won’t really give the “wow-factor”, but what do you think when you’re paying just £1?

The first think you notice when you open up the box and pull apart the plastic is the aroma. I wouldn’t call it pleasant, just very strong.

When you eat part of the egg the first thing you’ll notice is that the taste is quite bland. It doesn’t jump out at you and think “chuffing ‘heck, this is a lovely egg!” the after-taste is very sweet and does linger.

The thing is, this egg is aimed at kids and not chocolate aficionados. You could say that this £1 range is the McDonalds of Easter eggs.
