Morrisons The Best Belgian Milk Chocolate Easter Egg

Well the egg’s full name is Morrison’s The Best Belgian Milk Chocolate Hollow Egg with 12 Belgian Milk Chocolate Flaked Truffles – what a mouthful – I just wish the egg was.
This was another of their £5.25 eggs, or two of that price for £8. I just wish that the Easter egg came up to the name “The Best”.
The aroma was very sweet when I first picked it up, but the taste and texture were good, not great, but acceptable. I’d certainly place it the £5 mark, but I certainly wouldn’t call it “the best” Easter egg I’ve ever tasted.
When I first tried to break the egg it wouldn’t happen. When I finally did it disintegrated in my hands, which usually the preserve of the dark chocolate Easter eggs, not the milk chocolate ones.
With the egg being a slight disappointment, I went on to the truffles. And it’s fair to say they “blew my mind”. They were simply outstanding. I’m going to have to pay another visit to Morrison’s and try and find out if they just sell these on their own! They’re the best truffles I’ve tasted and compare favourably to the Black Magic truffles – although the egg was far superior!
