Mars Mini Easter Egg Review
25 January 2009 in Mars, Mini Eggs by admin
Wow that’s all I can say. I’m not a big lover of Mars Bars so I was fully expecting to say that the Mars Mini Egg would be too sweet and sickly and want to throw the rest of it away. However, it was delightful. And the only place online that I can find them sell them in boxes of 48’s – I hope you’ve got a very large family! If you do then you can get your whole family sorted for £17.95. If you just want to buy 6 you can for £2.70 from Chocolate Buttons.

At first you’re hit with a very sweet aroma that sent me back to the days of having Mars Bars in my lunch box to take to school. And then when you finally unravel the foil you’re met with an egg that’s about an inch high and didn’t seem as compelling as the Lindt Lindor Mini Eggs – either the Milk Chocolate or the Dark Chocolate varieties, and certainly not the Galaxy Mini Eggs.

Inside the egg you’re met with a fantastic (and I truly mean it) concoction of caramel and that fluffy stuff. The thickness of the milk chocolate was also. As you can see from the picture, the chocolate isn’t as thin as many full-sized Easter eggs you may get.
What I also liked was the clarity of the information regarding allergies. The labelling says that the egg contains milk, soya as well as traces of hazelnut, almond and other nuts. Good work guys.

So overall, it was a fantastic mini egg, but I wouldn’t want more than one very now and then.
Easter Eggs Rating: 9/10 – great taste, and for only 44p from Tesco, or a bulk load from Chocolate Buttons, you can’t go wrong. You could also try MySupermarket for some good deals.
