Last Order Dates For Easter Delivery 2012

NB: I will have to update these dates as they have changed.
Many of you may still want to buy some of the more sophisticated Easter eggs online and may not want to visit your local Tesco’s or Asda.
So here are the last order dates for the online Easter egg retailers that offer something different:
1) Thornton’s
Thornton’s make this very easy. I’d say the last order dates for Easter eggs is Thursday 1st April at 4pm for Gold Delivery, but this could change. They also do a Saturday delivery but apparently this “isn’t guaranteed”. For normal delivery rates they dispatch orders on the same day if ordered by 11am and could take five days. So for normal delivery for Easter I’d suggest that you order on the Sunday 28th to be fairly safe and Monday by 11am at the outside.
2) Hotel Chocolat (updated 2010)
The information I have is that the last order dates for Easter Delivery I expect is 2:30pm 30th March whilst if you’re going for “Gold Delivery” then it is 4pm on 1st April, although I have word from Hotel Chocolat that this COULD be extended to 2nd April – but don’t rely on it!
3) Cadburys
The last order dates for standard delivery (£5.50) is Thursday 1st April if ordered before 3pm for next day delivery and Wednesday 31st for normal delivery as they say it takes three working days. It’s also worth noting that they don’t deliver on Saturdays.
4) Green & Blacks
Standard delivery apparently takes three working days so I’d suggest ordering before 3pm on Tuesday 30th March. For next day delivery try Thursday 1st April by 3pm.
5) Chocolate Trading Co.
The Chocolate Trading Co. have some of the best delivery prices. You can get normal 3-4 day delivery for £3.95 or next day delivery for £5.95. If you’re buying from them the last delivery date and time is Wednesday 4th April before 4pm.
6) Ethical Superstore
The Ethical Superstore charge packaging and delivery is fairly good value for money but for normal delivery expect your order to take five days at least so this means that you will have to order by Saturday 27th or 2pm on Thursday 1st April if you’re paying a bit more for next day delivery.
