Nestlé Areo Easter Egg Review

The Aero used to be one of my most favourite chocolates as I was a kid as it wasn't too sweet and sickly and was very smooth - that and the Yorkie bar. Now the Nestlé Smarties Easter Egg would have to be my favourite out of the "Asda Four".

The packaging may not be as enticing as the small Smarties egg, but it still is very attractive and I'm sure kids will be excited when they see it.

Simiarly the egg is smooth but sweet with a slighly unatractive aroma. Again For £1 no one should really complain at the taste or texture.

You get two normal Aero bars when you open it up and "golden" wrapped Easter egg which does break fairly easily. But still, it is still a good buy.

Nestlé Smarties Easter Egg Review

The Nestlé Smarties Easter Egg is another one of Asda's range of £1 of Easter eggs. And again, its basically the same as the others.

The aroma is still as strong and the texture of the egg is slightly oily. I don't think any child should attempt to eat that many of these.

Again on the back there is advice about trying to save the planet by recycling the cardboard - I just wish more Christmas presents had the same sort of message.

The packaging is very colourful and does stand out more than most of the eggs you'll see on display.

Again, when opening up the box you're met with the egg and twin delights of tubes of Smarties.

The taste of the egg isn't that great compared to the luxury Easter Eggs on offer - but the price, just £1 at Asda, sure is!

The smell of the egg wasn't at its best and the taste just mildly entertaining. The price of course makes up for it - especially when you realised how quickly they'll be eaten!

Asda Supermarket Easter Egg Reviews

I popped down to Asda to see what sort of Easter Eggs they had and they'd certainly added a much wider range over the last couple of weeks since I last visited them.

I chose to review all the cheap Easter eggs they had and also some more expensive ones.

For just £22 I managed to buy:

Nestle Kit Kat Crunchie Easter Egg (235g)
Nestle Smarties Easter Egg (211g)
Nestle Rolo Easter Egg (239g)
Nestle Aero Easter Egg (197g)
Green & Blacks Chocolate Egg with Smooth Praline Mini Eggs (180g)
Thorntons Premium Collection with truffle, pralines and mousses (275g)
Thorntons Classic Collection (175g) with 6 chocolates with classic centres.

When I got them home I realised that there weren't any Cadbury Easter eggs on sale - only their mass-market competitor Nestle and some more upmarket manufacturers such as Thorntons etc. I realised that it was the Easter eggs I posted about from Wilkinsons that had some Cadbury ones. Have Asda done a deal with Nestle so they get their eggs cheaper on condition they don't sell any cheap Cadbury ones?

Snickers Easter Egg

I think the Snickers Easter eggs are generally a bit too sickley and sweet for my taste but I'm sure there's loads of you that love them!

The Snickers egg forms part of their '3 medium Easter eggs for £3' offer which also includes the Cadbury Flake Easter Egg and Cadbury Creme Egg Easter Egg.

You can also buy this egg individually for ££1.25.

The Cadbury Mini Eggs Small Easter Egg is certainly for those that either don't want to spend a lot or don't want to send the recipient into a sugar-enduced coma. The egg is just £1.25 (just as the Cadbury Creme Egg Minis Small Easter Egg is).

To be honest, I don't think you can argue in terms of value for money.
