The New Cadbury's Creme Egg Twisted

Cadbury is launching the new Creme Egg Twisted bar to ensure that there will be some sort of Cadbury Creme-type chocolate avaliable all year round.

It is aimed to continue the success that the Dairy Milk Creme Egg bar started in 2006.

This new bar will be a soldi bar of chocolate that is "twisted" and has the fondant running through the middle of it - sounds interesting.

The bad news is that it won't be introduced until after Easter. The good news is that it'll be on sale all the time, unlike the Creme Egg which is only on sale from January to March.

Now, they spend £5m promoting the egg each year! So expect to see even more advertising on your screens in the run up to Easter.

New Cadbury Creme Egg Website

In time for Easter, Cadbury's have launched a new site about their Creme Egg. It's a tad wierd to be honest, some little creme egg's skipping, falling over then getting mopped up.

To be honest I can't see the point, unless its to get people like me to link to it.

If you want to buy Cadbury's Easter eggs, you can here.

Cadbury Prosecuted Over Salmonella Scare

The Telegraph reports on the news that Cadbury will be prosecuted over the Salmonella scare that hit consumers - causing three to be treated in hospital.

The case is being bought by Birmingham City Council because they believe Cadbury is responsible for dozens of cases of Salmonella.

Each of the three offences carries a maximum penalty of unlimited fines and two years in prison.

Cadbury said in a statement: "We have fully co-operated with the authorities throughout their inquiries and we will examine the charges that have been brought. ... As there is now legal action pending, it would be inappropriate for us to comment further."

So far the case has cost Cadbury £20 million in lost sales.
