John Lewis Easter Eggs – Delivered By Post

2012 update: This year John Lewis are stocking 65 Easter eggs, with a quarter of them being from Hotel Chocolat whilst the rest are made up of a variety of other brands such as James Chocolate, Charbonnel et Walker, Cocoa Bean Company, Natalie Chocolates, Montexumas, Cottage Delight Niederegger, Cocoa Loco, Farhi, Hope & Greenwood, House of Dorchester, and some (not enough) from Rocco.

Last year they stocked 101 different eggs so it’s a fair reduction this year. Obviously they’ve had a look at the range that were popular last year and decided to remove the ones they thought the couldn’t sell.

The full list is below, but here’s the ones that stand out for me

» Rococo Praline Hen’s Egg in a Box – £25
These look to be a more colourful version of these that I reviewed three years ago. I thought they were very good, but I expect that the Rococo ones would be smoother. I’ll try and buy some and see what they’re like.

» Cocoa Bean Company Potting Chocolate Egg with Seeds – £10
It comes this with a pott and a trowel as well so would be good for a family member that has green fingers, be that your mother, father or grandparent.

» House of Dorchester Molly Brett Easter Chocolate in a Tin – £5
These remind me of the Hotel Chocolat chocolates that come in a little tin, but I think these ones are more artistic and aimed at older people.

»Niederegger Nostalgic Marzipan Easter Eggs – £7
This is certainly the perfect Easter gift for somebody that loves marzipan as I do. Niederegger is the premier name in marzipan too.

2011 update:

What I love about John Lewis is that they only offer quality – whatever they sell, you know it’ll be fantastic. And reviewing their selection of Easter eggs it’s no difference!
But what surprised me even more was that they had some great deals as well. Out of the 33 Easter chocolate gifts they’re selling online, all but 6 are under £20 and they’ve got 14 under £10.

What I love about buying Easter eggs from John Lewis is that you can buy a variety of different brands, as wells as some other gifts and have them delivered by post for the same delivery cost. What’s more you don’t have to wait in for the different courier companies or Post Man either.

They’ve not only got a great selection of Hotel Chocolat Easter eggs – as always, but this time some great ones from James Chocolates and some others, including (this isn’t the current list as I need to update it):
