Hotel Chocolat Easter Eggs 2010

19 February 2010 in Best Selling, Hotel Chocolat by admin

It’s this time of year we take a look at the range of Hotel Chocolat Easter eggs and how great they are. This year they’ve got a few new additions whilst the old favourites are still there.

Here’s a run through of what they’ve got.

Happy Egg & Milk Tiddly Pot (including dark & white)
This year its gone up to £6 from £5 but they’re still great value as you can get a three of them for £15 and that includes a mix and match between the dark, milk and white chocolate Tiddly Pots. What I love about them is that they’re actually very tasty and perfect for kids. I wouldn’t worry about the price and they’re a damn site more tasty than the cheap rubbish that most of the supermarkets are flogging. » Buy it here «

Creamed Caramel Egg Sandwich
I just love these sandwiches! I’ve reviewed the Blueberry Egg Sandwich befor and thought it was fantastic and think they’re well worth the £7 each that they cost as they’re very imaginative and a lot bigger than they look on their website. What’smore, you can get 4 for £24 which makes them £6 each. You can also get the Smooth Praline Egg Sandwich, Fruit & Nut Egg Sandwich, Strawberry Sensation Egg Sandwich and a couple of new ones for this year there’s the Eton Mess Egg Sandwich which I’m hopefully going to be reviewing very soon and the Chilli Combo Egg » Buy it here «

Hotel Chocolat Egg & Soldiers
Now these are definitely new for 2010 and look utterly delicious! I’ll be putting in an order for them very soon. I was thinking last year about how great it would look to try and have some bready soldiers looking Easter chocolates and this year Hotel Chocolat has come up with the goods! Great work guys. If you’d to get some then you can … » Buy it here «

Also they’ve got the Rocky Road to Caramel Extra thick (buy) which I reviewed and thought was utterly amazing. I’ve also reviewed the You Crack Me Up Easter egg (buy). The Your Eggsellency Easter Egg Extra Thick is also back (buy) along with the The Eggsibitionist Easter egg (buy).

White Scrambled Easter Egg
These Scrambled Easter eggs are new for 2010 and they’re pretty hefty as they weigh in at around 220g each and are also about 125mm tall. These Easter eggs aren’t their largest, because those ones are massive, but these ones are average sized and would do the trick for both adults and children. Actually they remind me of the Chocolate Alchemist Easter eggs I reviewed last year which were pretty funky looking and I think these ones will be popular this year too. » Buy it here « But then they also do the Milk Scrambled Egg, a dark scrambled Easter egg and a Caramel Scrambled Easter egg.

Back again this year is the Sleekster Box from Hotel Chocolat which is a selection of fantastic chocolates which are an alternative to Easter eggs for those people that don’t like to have what others are having. » Buy it here « There’s the Rocky Road Ostrich Milk Chocolate Egg that’s just a whopper, that’s back too » Buy it here «

Nibble & Peck’s Easter Chocolate Hunt
I get a lot of people looking for chocolate for Easter egg hunts, and now we’ve got something a bit posher than the usual fair to buy. In this Hotel Chocolat Easter egg hunt pack you’ll get 16 figures cast in white, milk and caramel chocolate – but they do look like the figures you’d get in the Rocky Road To Caramellow Egg. But with the Nibble & Peck selection they’re individually wrapped which are perfect for a hunt. » Buy it here «

Full On Dark Easter Egg Sandwich
This is another new one for 2010 from Hotel Chocolat but follows on from their other Easter sandwiches. It’s made with 70% dark chocolate so it’s not going to be too full on, but for most it’ll still be fairly dark. Just like the others, its a slab of dark chocolate between too shells. But the Full On Dark Easter Egg Sandwich has little cacoa nibs that are quite bitter. A dark chocolate lover will find this intriguing. » Buy it here «

The Easter Hbox is also new and is a box of 15 filled mini eggs which has been created with the idea of sharing them around – but I doubt if that’ll happen too often as they look pretty gorgeous. They’ve got milk chocolate pralines, dark chocolate pralines, caramell, raspberry mouse, ameretto, advocaat and ganaches with orange – all for £11 which looks to be a great price. » Buy it here «

There’s more for kids in the form of Easter eggs which is a box of 10 dark chocolate half eggs filled with toffee and at £6.50 they’re not bad value for money. » Buy it here «

Hotel Chocolat also do a wonderful Easter presentation box called the Easter Bunny Box with half an Easter egg made from their 40% milk chocolate, a rocky road slab, a milk chocolate chick lick and some caramel drops. It’s £25 so it isn’t cheap, but you do get a fair amount for your money.

They also do the “Essential Easter Collection” for £25, the Dark Ostrich Easter egg for £60, an Easter egg hunt pack called Oodles of Eggs for £30, an Easter Pick Me Up Gift Bag for £11, two selections of Egg Pot Foursomes which you can choose from Smooth as Silk which includes Milk Caramel, Amaretto, Gianduja Praline and Dark Rum; or the Mellow and Fruity one which has milk praline, Dark Caramel, Zesty Praline and Fruity Mousse.

You can also choose between two Easter egg Hampers. There’s the Easter Weekend Hamper which costs £50 and you get a whole host of chocolates including the Eggsibitionist & Serious Dark Fix Extra Thick Egg shells (both with chocolates), a bag of  Caramel Drops, the Easter Eggs & Soldiers, some Easter Eggies Sticky Toffee, a  Milk Choc Chick Lick and a Easter Slab. » Buy it here «
