I know the High School Musical 3 Senior Year Easter Egg doesn’t pretend to be the luxury Easter eggs that are available for just £12 such as the Just Truffles Cocoa Pod Egg from Hotel Chocolat, but it should be doing such much better.

I bought this one as part of the three Easter eggs for £2.50 at Tesco, but I wish I didn’t. It’s not all that nice at all.

There was a very “cardboardy” aroma and it had a very sweet, saccharin taste – it’s certainly not one I’d go out of my way to get the kids.

One thing that I did find startling was that the egg is 60.2% sugar which is double the minimum amount of cocoa solids in it. There was also 17.9% saturated fat. Not good.

Easter Eggs Rating: 2/10 – didn’t taste nice, especially as I just reviewed the Happy Tiddly Pot Egg from Hotel Chocolat which is also aimed at kids.
