Green & Blacks Organic Dark 70% Praline Filled Mini eggs

Frequent readers will know that I just love mini eggs. What drew me towards these Green & Blacks Organic Dark 70% Praline Filled Mini eggs is the fact that they’re praline filled.
First off, the price. They’re £3.99 a box and you get 15 of them which works out at about 27p each which works out at nearly double the 15p you’ll pay for the Marks & Spencer’s Organic Fair-trade Solid Dark and Milk Chocolate Mini Eggs and almost three times the Fairtrade Tradecraft Chocolate Mini Eggs I also got from Ethical Superstore. But as you’ll see, I’m sure it’s worth it.
As with those other mini egg boxes, you don’t get a great deal, they generally only ever come up to the top of the window and then stop.
It’s a slightly disappointing site initially, until you pour them out and see that they’re actually bigger than most of the mini eggs you generally find.
So now you’re convinced they’re bigger than the rest, what about the taste? Well at first I was a bit unsure. They tasted slightly of coffee, but they did have the very distinctive “organic” flavour. When I let the flavour work through they were exceptionally nice. They weren’t over-powering and just had enough tanginess for my liking. The texture was very nice as well, it felt nice on the tongue.
Easter Eggs Rating: 8/10 – not enough of them, but they are of very good quality.
