Galaxy Mini Eggs Review

I must say that I’m prejudice against Galaxy as I generally find them too smooth and sweet – I don’t know why, but I feel they’re definitively chocolates for girls. But I was pleasantly surprised by the Galaxy Mini Eggs I reviewed.

One of the first things you notice, even before you buy them is the price, I got these from Tesco for just 99p! So if you want to find a cheap alternative to Easter eggs then these may be worth looking at?

When you open the packet you’ll notice an abundance of golden eggs. You’ll slowly open one whilst distracted by the television or the kids asking for there’s. When you peel back the golden foil you’ll either be met with a slight disappointment as there’s edges to the egg – don’t you just wish they could make them whole, or you’ll be excited as you remember your past galaxy encounters.

Whatever your initial thoughts, you’ll be glad you took the plunge. They’re little spheres of heaven. All my memories of Galaxy chocolate being too sweet are swept away. I’m sure it’s because you just can’t eat too many too quickly as you’ve got to unwrap them before you eat the next.

I think the secret is not to overdo it if you can. Just have one every few minutes and then you’ll be hit with a sugar high when you most need it. But be careful if you’ve got diabetes or anything like that.

That leads me to the health bit – for those that are interested!

I wouldn’t call them a healthy snack, but a little of what you fancy, they say, can’t do you any harm. The thing to point out that the numbers they give are per egg! In my packet I had 13 – but it felt more when I bought them.

So, by my reckoning you can expect around each packet to be around 520 calories, have 54.6g of sugar and 18.2g of saturates. But do you care? Probably not!

Easter Eggs Rating: 7/10 – only because they’re not as nice as Black Magic Easter eggs you get in the larger Black Magic Easter egg or the >Booja Booja Hazelnut Crunch.

Also why not shop for Galaxy chocolate or mini eggs?
