2012 Update:  This year there are four main types of Galaxy Easter eggs, but only the one type of Caramel mini eggs. These can be bought from Tesco for £1.20 each or 2 for 1 until 27th March; from Waitrose for £1.189 each or 2 for £2; Asda for £1 each or Sainsbury’s for £1.20 each or 2 for £2 until 6th March. You can also buy a wholesale of 18 of them for £27.50 from Chocolate Buttons if you wish – but they do work out at at £1.52 a bag plus delivery.

If you wanted to have a look out for other Galaxy Easter eggs, they do a large Minstrels box, an All About Indulgence one and a medium Galaxy Ripple one as well as filled small eggs.

Ah it looks like these were one of the first few out early last year but were called Chocolate Caramel Temptations. But this year the price has gone up to 59p each or 2 for £1.

I can see the different in the product this year in that the caramel inside is a lot firmer, all that could be due to the fact that they might have spent a long time in cold storage before I reviewed them?

Last year I wasn’t a fan of Galaxy chocolate, and I’m still not this year either. I find it exceptionally sweet and of low quality. I’m sorry Galaxy fans!!

One thing I did notice was that the chocolate was a touch darker than I’d usually expect Galaxy chocolate to be, I’m not sure if it had to be stronger to withstand the bashing it’d probably get in transit, but there was a definite difference in appearance!

To be fair, I know these Galaxy Chocolate Caramel Eggs will appeal to the fans of normal Galaxy chocolate and the eggs were actually filled to the brim with caramel so I think I’d upgrade this rating to 5/10.

   Hey there, I have not tried these particular egss but do agree with you that Galaxy chocolate has unfortunately gone downhill in recent years. It was always nice and creamy but is far more sugary now which I find too sweet!
