Update 2012: I’ve finally found time to buy and review these Easter eggs for dogs and puppies – I should have done it a couple of years ago! Since I looked at these the first time the price for the adult dog Easter egg has gone up slightly to £2.50 whilst the one for puppies is £2.50 and comes in a different box to the one pictured on the Amazon website.

There’s another thing I couldn’t understand which is you’re paying the same price for both the adult dog and the puppy egg whilst you’re getting 50% more ‘chocolate’ with the adult one and from what I can tell they’re made from exactly the same formula: sugar, non-hydrogenated vegetable oil, milk powder, soya, carob, whey powder, sunflower lecithin. So if you’re going to buy one, get the 60g adult one from Amazon instead. Ah, I’ve just found the puppy one had added calcium. I doubt a puppy would need this in an Easter egg though?

I’ve got two dogs, both Labradors: one just over 3 years old and the other about a year and a half, and you can hopefully tell from the photos that they absolutely loved them The mistake I made though was not taking the foil wrapping off them and my youngest dog ate some of it. They’ve eaten much worse in their time, being Labradors they’ve consumed all sorts of rubbish on their walks. Just be aware that they can easily tell that the contents are delicious and they’ll go straight in for it and not take any notice of the wrapping.

The two dogs went nuts for the ‘chocolate’, they were sniffing around for ages looking for little flakes of the chocolate and, unusually, got quite narky with each other as they’re were trying to find the left overs. Something else worth mentioning is that your £2.50 will be gone in less than ten seconds. It’ll disappear in a flash. The upside to this is you’ll be left with dogs licking their lips and give you a look of pure love afterwards – well I think it was that!

Where To Buy Lindor Dark Chocolate Eggs
  • Amazon – Adult £5.69 (they’ve more than doubled!
  • Amazon – Puppy £5.69

Old content:

Your dog doesn’t have to feel left out this Easter as you can get an Easter egg just for your dog – from Amazon!

You can also get Easter eggs for your dog from Pets at Home for £2.19

It’s only £2.19 and of course isn’t made from chocolate but from Carob and allegedly can provide health benefits for your dog as well.

How cute is that?

Also have a look at Pet Supermarket.

We’ve also listed some Easter Eggs for dogs here.

Also if you do give them any other treats at Easter make sure you don’t give them grapes, raisins and especially dark chocolate. But do talk to your Vet first.
