
Right from the off I loved this Chili Easter egg! Scorchio sent it in a gorgeous cardboard box which is totally different than anything else I’ve had so far this year.
When you open up the “box” you’re met with this Easter egg sitting on a bed of red shredded paper with some chuffing hot dried chili peppers – like you need anything else in their to blow your mind?!?!
So I unravel the twine with a sense of trepidation, I pull apart the cellophane and I start to worry. “The World’s Hottest Easter Egg” keeps flashing through my mind. So I prize it apart and break off some of the dark chocolate. I munch, I chew, I swallow. Nothing happens. Then BAMB, right I get a burning sensation throughout my mouth. My throat, tongue, pallet and every part of my mouth starts burning. A smile comes across my face and I go for some more, then some more and then it almost all disappears. I need to respite so I go for the white chocolate half. Thankfully this is nice and cool and calms my mouth right down. This Pleasure & Pain Chili Chocolate Easter Egg is certainly just that.
It’s a fairly handy size as well at about 12.5cm tall and is made out of cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter, whole milk powder, emulsifier: soya lecithin, natural vanilla flavouring, dried chilli flakes, naga jolokia chili powder and the dark half is minimum 71% cocoa solids.
