Gift Hampers For The Family Or Kids

March 2012 Update: Out of nowhere Hotel Chocolat have put together a chocolate goodies hamper with comes in a robust-looking gif basket and an elegant bow. It might not be the most jam-packed of them but you do get 4 hollow, gold foil-wrapped eggs which would be good for a quick Easter egg hunt in the garden. You also get eight of their praline egglets, eight of their dark chocolate tiddly chicks, a Rocky Road slab, and one of the Quackers chocolate ducks with some small eggs. This looks to be a great chocolate hamper for kids – and probably more sophisticated ones at that!

Don’t forget your 10% off voucher code (except postage and valid until 10th April 2011: EASTEREGGS15 – you can use it
HERE

NB: if you wanted to buy cheap Easter eggs online then I have a page for that here or go direct to Thorntons – they’ve got some daft deals on at the moment! I’ve also got a look at Easter eggs in Supermarkets.

Update 2012:
Normally I’d say Handy Candy are a good way to find cheap Easter gift hampers for the family, but this year the deals don’t seem as good. You can get some small Easter treats in a metal bucket for £17.99 but I think that works out quite expensive. You can get a small, and very cute mini bucket to look like a rabbit with some mini eggs in for £11.99, and obviously both designed for Easter egg hunts, or a ‘Tuck Box‘ for £6.99.

A much better alternative may cost you more, but you get a whole heap more Easter goodies for your money. Cadbury Gifts Direct do have cheaper options, but this one for £30 you get five individual Easter eggs loads of mini eggs, some small Creme eggs, an Easter Trail pack and other fantastic chocolates too. If you’ve got an average sized family then I’d probably go for this one.

If you’ve got a very large family or would just like a proper wicker basket hamper thing with it then they do have one for £70 which does have 10 Easter eggs as well as Creme Eggs and other stuff too. But that might seem a touch excessive.

At first I didn’t think that Hamper Gifts would have anything that cheap for families and kids and when I looked I realised how cost-effective they were. You can get an “Enchanted Easter Tower” for £26.95 where you get four layers of wrapped boxes full of Easter goodies including the odd savoury nuts and biscuits and then topped by a bow. This would be good if you’ve got a large dining table and you can all gather around it on Easter morning and open the Easter tower together. They do have a seven box tower one too.

I’ve spent ages looking for other options, but I just can’t find anything else – which is madness!

Update 2010: The good thing about some retailers is that some do all the hard work for you. Handy Candy have done this with their Bumper Easter Choc Box which is a great selection of little Easter treats such as:

And all that for £15.99 which isn’t bad if you ask me! It’d be great to have a mini Easter egg hunt in the house if the weather is going to be bad. There are loads to nibble on for people with different tastes.

Check Handy Candy out. Also, if you’re looking for Easter eggs for an Easter egg hunt then we’ve found some great ones.

I will keep an eye on Handy Candy in 2012 and see how they change their range of Easter egg hampers – I’ll report back with my findings.
