Would you expect an extra thick Easter egg to be 2mm in places this one was. Around the edge it was just over 1mm. The chocolate was good though and the experience worth paying extra for.
At 5mm it's certainly thicker than most Easter eggs and the quality of the milk chocolate is definitely much better than most of the milk chocolate you'll find in the supermarkets. At £6.50 each or £13 for three then it's not bad value either.
This Purist Easter egg from Hotel Chocolat is a very bitter egg that probably wouldn't suit everyone. Buy for the most ardent of dark chocolate fans that is often missed out at this time of year.
Montezuma's are the are vary variable, sometimes I love what they do and other times I just won't get it. this single origin thick Easter egg just didn't do it for me!
