This Easter egg is my favourite of all the one's that Hotel Chocolate make, well the Purist ones are pretty fabulous too. Overall, any of their Easter eggs over £10 are worth buying without much thought.
At the 20% cocoa solids level and with vegetable oil this Easter egg is unlikely to win any awards. But millions of people love their chocolate so who's right? I'd say that people vote with their feet.
This is one of the nicest Easter eggs I've ever reviewed. It definitely has it's sweet edge, but that lemon flavour is fantastic and combines well with the crispy meringue pieces.
Every little helps as they say, but you won't many opportunities this Easter to get a free Easter egg this year, but thankfully Thorntons are giving them away if you spend over £20.
You really can't beat the Cadbury Mini Eggs, they're incredibly addictive. And they strangely have more cocoa solids in them, as a percent of total solids, than the Chocolate Buttons eggs.
