You can now choose from various different type of gift styles of mini eggs, including:

  • Mini Eggs Pocket Size Pack 45g – £0.60 – these would be good if you just wanted to give your children something extra or if you’re going to have a kids’ party
  • Mini Eggs Tube 120g – £1.20 – I’d say these are the perfect size for a handbag
  • Mini Eggs Treasure Egg – £1.95 – not a true mini egg though in that it doesn’t have a speckled shell
  • Mini Eggs Treatsize Bag 251g – £2.95 – this is a fairly large bag that would be great for a summer Easter party or a BBQ
  • Mini Eggs Easter Egg – £3.49 – one way to combine the mini eggs and Cadbury’s classic chocolate in egg form.
  • Mini Eggs Bag 360g – £3.59 – just a larger version of the 251g bag, so perhaps if you’re arranging or going to an even bigger party?
  • Mini Eggs Giant Egg – £9.99 – a larger version of the other egg
  • Mini Eggs Gift Set – £10.50 – this is their smallest mini eggs gift box and is good value as you get a boxed egg, a foil-wrapped one in a gift bag, a tube of mini eggs and a small bag. You’re saving a fair bit, but there’s no real comparison as you can’t buy the gift bag egg separately.
  • Easter Treatsize Party Box – £11.50 – this seems absolutely perfect for a children’s party as you get a whole heap (44) of small chocolate bars and a load of  small bags of mini eggs.
  • The Mini Eggs Passion – £14.30 – this gift box has been updated in 2012 and now includes a medium Easter egg, a sharing bag of mini eggs, a tube of them, a larger bag of mini eggs and one of the smaller, square tubes. It looks like this has actually come down in price from £14.99 to £14.30 this year too.
Delivery is at least £1 cheaper than most other chocolate companies which makes Cadbury’s an even bigger bargain. If you spend under £10 it’s just £3.95 and over £10 it’s £5.50. You’ve got a great deal more choice than mini eggs too such as Splats, Dairy Milk variations, a load of different types of Creme egg gift boxes, minis, hollow animals, virtually every type of their chocolate bars branded as eggs, an egg with a gold medal for the Olympics, ones with toys, eggs for Easter egg hunts, Easter eggs with mugs, giant Easter eggs and eggs in proper wicker baskets.

Update 2010: For the person that just adores Cadbury’s Mini Eggs (such as myself) then there can only be one gift to get them this Easter and that’s the Mini Eggs Passion from Cadbury’s Gift Direct. Just check out what they’ll get in the box 1 x 260g Cadbury Mini Egg Flying Disc Egg, 1 x 120g Cadbury Mini Eggs Tube, 1 x 251 Cadbury Mini Eggs Treatsized Bag, 1 x 45g Cadbury Mini Eggs Tube. If that’s not the best Easter present for a Mini Eggs fan, then I don’t know what is!

Cadbury Gifts Direct – £14.99

But where can you get them from?

I’ve found:

  • Handy Candy -selling them in 250g, 500g, 350g, 1kg or pick and mix.
  • Chocolate Buttons – Well they’ve got them in the 45g tube,
the 120g tube, the 100g bags, a big box of them.
  • Amazon – various different bulk orders.

If  you were interested in the nutritional information of the mini eggs, you might want to link between the cracks of your fingers. Each 100g of them has 485 calories and is two thirds sugar, 21.7% fat (13.5% saturated) – I know it’s shocking, but you’re not going to eat a bag a day are you??
