I was really looking forward to this one I was hoping that egg itself would have a Baileys twang – I was disappointed about that, but the outcome wasn’t too bad.
The Baileys Easter Egg With Mini Truffles promises so much. The box is beautiful and enticing. When you pull out the egg you’re met with a gorgeous egg, the aroma is just as appealing – but not Irish creamy, it was almost “muddy”. That really didn’t matter, however, when I tasted it. It wasn’t distinctive as I had hoped. It was very much like the Galaxy Easter Eggs and it is very edible – I’ve been scoffing it for a fair while now.
When I turned my attention to the mini truffles I was very disappointed. I thought they were going to be very much like true truffles. But alas, no. They were just a chocolate outside covering a very sugary inside. It did taste a lot like Baileys, but not as smooth or appetising. Never Mind
Overall, if someone really loved Baileys then I wouldn’t want to disappoint them by not getting it. But I wouldn’t hold out much hope of them liking the mini truffles.
Easter Egg Rating: 6/10 – The Easter egg itself was nice and mellow, the truffles very sharp and sugary.
