Marks & Spencer Milk Chocolate Easter Egg
The Easter egg is nothing to write home about, but at that price you shouldn't expect anything fancy. M&S do have a range of the branded Easter eggs, from recollection they had a High School Musical one, and another one aimed at kids, but they were about £5.99 each. I expect most parents or grandparents would opt for this cheaper option if they wanted to keep things M&S.
Thankfully the Easter egg wasn't over-powering like many aimed at kids or most milk-chocolate Easter eggs. This one had a well-rounded aroma. The taste was pretty mild and didn't hit you with any unwanted undertones. It was fairly sweet put still pleasant. The only thing I didn't like was that it was very thin at around 2mm - at least you won't overdose yourself. And you certainly won't overdose yourself on the chocolate with just 30% minimum cocoa solids. However, the plus points is that there were no artificial colourings or flavourings. But it was made in a factory were nut ingredients.
Another point I didn't like was the almost excessive packaging especially as Nestlé said it was making strides into reducing the amount of packaging used in their Easter eggs.
A plus point was the truffle half eggs. They were very nice. But not enough for me to recommend this Easter egg as one to go out of your way to buy.
Easter Eggs Rating: 4/10 - nothing special and disappointingly not of the usual M&S quality.
