Aero Easter Egg With Mini Pamper Gift Certificate
Nestle have decided that women will buy the Aero Easter egg and men will buy the Kit Kat one as with this one you've got a choice of mini-pampering days. Both Wilkinsons and Chocolate Buttons have the, with Wilkos beating the niche retailer with a price of £4.99 compared to £5.85.
The thing is that most won't believe that you can get a free mini-pamper when you buy the Aero Easter egg - but it appears to be true. I had a look at their website and did a search for my post code and there were a few salons signed up here. When I mentioned it to the girls at work they couldn't believe it!
The packaging is very distinctive and I expect will entice many into buying it over some of the other mid-priced Easter eggs. With the picture of the women getting a lovely massage I'm many will circumb to its evocative picture.

Following from the great exterior I was slightly dissapointed with the interior. You do get a flimsy bag of Aero bubbles and a reasonably sized Eater egg, but you do also get instructions as to how to claim your free pampering day - which is probably the reason why you were given it in the first place!

The egg itself does have a distinctive Aero aroma. But I'm sure people will tell me its the same as the Kit Kat one. It does smell very sweet and sickly, however. The egg isn't the thickest, but certainly not the thinest egg out there and does taste nice, but not the greatest either.

Overall, I wouldn't hesitate at recommending it as a mid-range Easter-egg at the five-pound mark.

Nestles' website not working at present....put me off buying the egg now, wonder if there is a problem!
There must be a catch somewhere!
i went to wilkinson btu can children go on this pamper break??
I don't think so as point 2 of the terms and conditions is 'offer open to uk residents aged 18 and over only', but may be worth telephoning to check.
£4.99 buy one, get one free in Tesco.
There seems to be something very fishy about this! My daughter was given two of these eggs and has given the certificates to me to sort out for her. No mention is made on the box of them being for over 18s only, so it now appears they are valueless to her, being only 13. The other terms and conditions that you do see when the egg is opened narrow down the opportunity to such an extent that surely no-one will use the certificates. A bit of a con I think. And as others say, it seems funny that the website has been down for some time now ... this smells like the Hoover Air Miles fiasco ...
There used to be a sign in my local fish and chip shop which said "free fish and chips for any OAPS accompanied by both sets of parents". This seems to be very much the same offer. Ha Ha.
Hi Everyone,
I run this blog (or try to ;-) ).
This is just my view and not Nestle's but I don't think they would have intended to decieve anyone.
I am very annoyed when I found out the site was up and down like a bride's nighty. I also did some research on the net and found that many of the retailers that were asked to accept the vouchers were sceptical about the benefit of the vouchers to them. Their view was often that "punters" or Easter egg buyers wanted something for nothing - I thought that was the idea of the "word free".
My understanding is that Nestle didn't reimburse the salons but wanted them to donate the vouchers in return for the introduction of new customers.
In all I think this was an ill-concieved marketing strategy. I think it was rushed without much thought in an aim to head off the new product ranges that Cadburys had brought in.
I'm sorry if anyone bought the eggs as a result of my reviews and I hope that no-one was disapointed.
It's just a shame that the website was down so you couldn't review the T&C's before you bought.
If anyone else has some thoughts then could you add them here and I'll send them on to Nestle.
Thanks,
Lee
The website is currently down but I could still read the T&C. I'm going to phone Nestle (01525 844536/5) for more info. I'd planned on buying for my son, but thought the offer too good to be true hence the preliminary research.
You can't look at the website until you have bought and opened the egg and found the address on the voucher. That is bad planning. If the site is already down for some reason, just think what it will be like after Sunday when thousands of people will have bought/opened the eggs and are looking forward to their treat!!
Woot, i got mine and the salon near me is just around the corner lol. yippee!!
I booked a mini facial no bother with the Aero voucher, but the Kit-Kat experience is much harder since there is no easy way to establish what is available nearby.
when I got this egg it came with a certificate but when i tried the website did not work. and I should be aloud to go on the pamper because easter egggs are for kids like me not for adults and the salon is proble somewere in londen like always so what is the ponit?????????????????......
I was tempted to buy this egg for the free treament but decided to check if there was anywhere close to me where I could use it. After looking on the website it appears there is, but both places dont offer any of the pamper services as one is a laser treament company and the other is a hairdressers, and after looking at both of their website it confirms that they dont offer those services so its just a waste of time and money buying it!
Only flaw was website being down, but if you googled easter gift certificate - it would have redirected you to working link. I'm guessing all certificates were printed before website was sorted out. For the lazy ..... functional website is

I've used my certificate at a salon near my home (from list on website) & all was perfect. It DOES state on certificate that it's for residents aged 18 and over. CANT COMPLAIN FOR A FREE PAMPER TREAT THAT CAME WITH A £4 EASTER EGG!!! Absorb on it while you can ladies!
My grandma bought me and my two brothers this egg x3 thinking that her, me and my mum could go for a pamper day.(obviously the boys wouldnt be interested) however we were most disappointed to discover that I wouldnt be able to go with them because I am only 14! I find this disappointing, fake, and downright misleading. What are you going to do about this? >:(
my mum brought me and my sister this egg nd my brother got the one for boys, we were very disapointed to find that the websit does not work and you have to be over 18, its not as if it illegal for teenagers to do the free activities, its disapointing because we were looking forward to it but now we think my mum has waisted her money and its a CON!!!! >:
Tough luck if you live in Northern Ireland - they cannot offer one single venue in this country, and I really thought we were part of the UK!!
I think this is a con. The salon nearest to me (wrong phone number on aero website incidentally) said I could redeem the voucher for a 15 minute facial (about a quarter the time of any facial I've ever had). I can only use one voucher there but I have two, as my brother bought the eggs for my 6 and 8 year old, like many others said most eggs are bought for children. I'm going to complain to trading standards.
